Suresh Jain is a distinguished environmental scientist with expertise in air quality modelling and management, environmental risk assessment, integrated impact assessment, and sustainability assessment. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and an M.Tech in Environmental Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Throughout his career, Mr. Jain has focused on understanding and mitigating environmental challenges, particularly related to air pollution and its impacts on public health. His research spans various domains, including end-of-life management of solar PV waste, health impact assessment of outdoor workers exposed to air pollution and extreme weather events, and the health impact assessment of auto-rickshaw and cab drivers due to exposure to vehicular pollution. Mr. Jain has made significant contributions to the field through his research publications. His work on assessing clean cooking technologies in rural areas of Northern India provides valuable insights into improving indoor air quality and reducing the reliance on traditional fuel sources. He has also conducted studies on the social and travel lockdown impact on air quality during the COVID-19 pandemic.
