Subrata Das leads the Utilities business for Oracle in India & Japan. In his role, Subrata is responsible for revenue growth, thought leadership, market share and customer success across Electricity, Gas & Water Utilities. A seasoned professional with a career spanning 32 Years, Subrata has deep industry knowledge across Utilities, Tax & Revenue, Urban Local Bodies etc. across technology giants like Oracle, IBM and SAP. Subrata is based out of Delhi and is an avid photographer and collector. Sanjay, a BE from Jadavpur University and a MBA from XLRI, has received several industry recognitions and awards of which the ABP Infocom Changemaker 2022, CIO Icon 2022, CIO Samman 2021, and Tata Global Innovista Award are the more recent ones. He also sits as jury member of similar awards , including those which mentors and recognizes emerging IT & Digital Leaders. As an inventor, his work received a patent grant in the area of process automation. He is a Fellow and former Vice-President of the Computer Society of India, and a Senior Member of the ACM & IEEE. He was also an Industry representative in the Academic and Executive Council of the WB University of Technology for several years, and in the recent past, Convenor, CII Power Sub-Committee on Data Privacy.
