Dr. Kulwant Singh, currently the President of KSS-Institute of Spatial Planning and Environment Research (India) and is also serving as the Adviser of Busworld Foundation - an organization based in Belgium. He is a member of the standing committee of United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD) Japan for designing the Programme of Regional Environmentally Sustainable Transport Forum for Asia and the Pacific. Dr. Singh earlier served as the Regional Adviser for the Urban Basic Services and Infrastructure Branch of UN-Habitat. In his role as the Regional Adviser, he significantly contributed to policy dialogues in partner countries in Asia and the Pacific and in the design and implementation of a large number of urban basic services initiatives. Dr. Singh has been a regular visiting faculty at the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, Delft and the Institute of Housing and Urban Development (IHS), Rotterdam.
