Nara Rúbia de Souza is an advisor at the Board of Directors at the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL), the government agency responsible for regulating and oversighting the electricity sector in Brazil. Mrs. Souza is graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Brasília - UnB (1996), where she has received honor to merit for academic performance, granted by the Department of Civil Engineering. She holds a Specialization in Regulation of Electrical Energy and Gas Services - CENARIOS by USP/UNICAMP/UNIFEI (2001). For work experience, it is highlighted that she has been working at ANEEL since its beginning, having participated of the structuring process of the Agency, in 1997. Her main experience regards being the Deputy Superintendent in the Superintendence of Management Planning (SPG), in 2000; advisor at the Board of Directors, between 2003 and 2013; Chief of Staff of the General Director, from 2013 to 2018; Regulatory Specialist at the Superintendence of Regulation of Distribution Services, from 2019 to 2022. Currently, she composes ANEEL’s advisory Board of Directors.
