Sourav Daspatnaik is an accomplished engineering and management professional with 35 years of experience in diverse roles. He currently serves as the Managing Director of Swach Environment Private Limited, a company focused on providing innovative and clean technologies for water supply and sanitation. In addition, he serves as an independent director on the boards of several Indian companies and mentors social enterprises in this area. Daspatnaik's professional career has been impressive, having worked with leading organizations such as Tata Motors, Jamshedpur, Tata Steel Ltd, and Mercer HR Consulting. He is a founding member of the National Water Alliance of India and part of the India-Israel Innovation Bridge, which focuses on commercially developing technologies through startups. He has a proven track record of building successful businesses with operational excellence. Daspatnaik has also worked closely with various state and central governments in India to put clean drinking water and wastewater on the agenda for industry and society. He is a thought leader in the area of water and wastewater and has developed Indian and global partnerships in this field. In recent years, Daspatnaik has held several important positions, including Chairman of the Skill Development Task Force and Co-Chair of the Infrastructure Committee of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was also a founder director of the Indian Iron & Steel Sector Skill Council and played a vital role in launching the India-Myanmar Solar Energy Forum and India-Myanmar Trade & Commerce, including Border Trade. Daspatnaik holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, and a Master's degree in Operations Management from the Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey, USA. His extensive experience and diverse skill set have made him a respected figure in the Indian business community
