Sajid Mubashir is a Scientist G at the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, Ministry of Science and Technology. He has been in this position since August 2016 and is currently developing a Public-Private Research Partnership program for a nationally coordinated “Technology Platform for Electric Mobility” in PPP-R&D mode. Prior to this, he worked as a Member (Research & Development) at the National Automotive Board (NAB), Ministry of Heavy Industries from April 2014 to July 2016 and as a Scientist G at the Ministry of Science & Technology from May 1988 to April 2014. During his tenure, he implemented two technology programs that gained appreciation, namely the Home Grown Technology Program (1997-2005) and Collaborative Automotive R&D -CAR (2003-2010), which involved 56 pilot production plants by industry, 20 pilot plants at national labs, and a 200-member academia-industry collaboration network, among others. He holds an M.Phil in Environmental Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University and an M.Sc in Earth Systems Science from the University of Kerala.
