Santosh M. is a seasoned government official and expert in the field of e-governance and public policy. He has over 20 years of experience serving in various capacities in the government of India, primarily in the states of Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh. Santosh has a strong background in electrical engineering, having earned his B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Santosh's most recent position was CEO of the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency, where he oversaw the implementation of various technology-driven initiatives to improve governance and public service delivery. Prior to that, he served as Commissioner of e-Governance for the government of Tamil Nadu and held various other positions in the state government, including Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Paper Limited and Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation. In addition to his expertise in e-governance and public policy, Santosh has also published extensively on topics such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and disaster management. He has several patents to his name and has served on the boards of various organizations, including the ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu and the Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu. Santosh is fluent in several languages, including English, Hindi, and French, and has a working knowledge of Bengali, Sanskrit, and Malayalam. He is a skilled communicator and has been recognized for his ability to build partnerships and collaborations across diverse stakeholders. Santosh's specialties include AI and ML for governance, blockchain, IoT, drones, and public policy.
