Rish Ghatikar is an energy leader at General Motors, where he advises on emerging technologies to enable economy-wide transportation electrification and mitigate climate risks. He is also a visiting professor at the University of Southern Denmark and serves as an advisor and board member for various organizations. Prior to his current role, Ghatikar led the information and communication technologies initiative at the Electric Power Research Institute and served as the Chief Research Officer at Greenlots (now Shell Recharge Solutions). He was also the Deputy Leader for Grid Integration Research at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and was responsible for the development of the global demand response data automation standard, OpenADR. Ghatikar holds dual Masters degrees in Telecommunication Systems/Computer Technologies and Infrastructure Planning and has authored over 100 scientific publications.
