Matthieu Craye is International Relations Officer at the European Commission Directorate-General for Energy, where he deals with energy relations between the EU and India, Japan, Australia, as well as with the international dimension of the EU’ strategy for Liquefied Natural Gas. In his previous position at the Directorate-General for Energy, he managed European programmes in renewable energy and smart grid technologies. Earlier in his career, he has worked in industry and academia and was a researcher at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, focusing on the role of scientific advice in energy and environmental policy making. He holds a Master’s degree in energy engineering and followed post graduate education in economics and philosophy.
