KVS Baba is the retired Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Grid Controller of India Limited, formerly Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO), the Independent System operator of India. He is a graduate of Electrical & Electronics Engineering from JNTU College of Engineering, Kakinada. He passed out in December 1982. Shri Baba has varied experience in his 38 years of service. He worked in the areas of Power System Planning and Design of EHV Transmission systems, Power System Studies and Analysis, Corporate Planning, and Project Management in Distribution Systems in NTPC and POWERGRID. In Grid-India, he was associated with System Operation & Market Operation and worked as head of the Northern Regional Load Despatch Centre & Nationals Load Despatch centers.
