Alternate CISO,GRID-INDIA
Anwaya Bilas Sengupta is a cybersecurity professional in India’s power sector and currently serves as Deputy General Manager (DGM) and Alternate Chief Information Security Officer (Alternate CISO) at Grid Controller of India Limited (GRID-INDIA). In this role, he is responsible for strengthening cybersecurity frameworks, information security governance, and digital risk management for India’s national power grid operations. His work focuses on protecting critical power infrastructure, ensuring cyber resilience, and supporting secure operation of grid management systems that underpin the country’s electricity transmission and load dispatch networks. Sengupta has extensive experience in IT security, operational technology (OT) security, and cyber risk management within the power and energy sector. He actively participates in national forums, conferences, and industry discussions on cybersecurity for critical infrastructure, smart grids, and emerging digital technologies in utilities. Through these engagements, he contributes to shaping best practices for securing India’s energy ecosystem against evolving cyber threats.
