Rupesh Goyal is Head-Metering , Data Analysis and Energy Audit at Tata Power Western Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPWODL), Sambalpur, Odisha. With over 28 years in power distribution, he specializes in smart metering, AMI deployment, Energy accounting, loss monitoring, Data analytics for theft detection, revenue protection and digital transformation of consumer services. He leads metering services at TPWODL since 2022 for over 2.2 million consumers across 48,000 sq km geographic area in western Odisha. He has driven 7.5 Lakhs smart meter installations with 100% coverage for HT, LT-CT, and 3-phase consumers, enhancing revenue assurance through smart meters, solar rooftops, net metering, and theft analytics. Previously, he has worked in various fields of Power Distribution be it planning, Projects, Operations, IT OT, AMI, Smart meters, Contracts etc and have also managed major Government Schemes and projects like ADB feeder segregation , SAUBHAGYA , DDUGJY, IPDS and RAPDRP IT modernization implementation across various States in India .
