Arnada Prasad Samal is the Chief Executive Officer of NTPC Parmanu Urja Nigam Limited (NPUNL) and a distinguished power sector professional with extensive experience in project engineering, planning, and execution across India’s thermal and nuclear power landscape. He began his career with the commissioning of the Talcher Super Thermal Power Station (2×500 MW), where his involvement in the critical commissioning phase laid a strong foundation for his expertise in large-scale power project management. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in advancing NTPC Limited’s growth through strategic project planning, technology innovation, and infrastructure development. Under his leadership, NPUNL has emerged as a strong contender in India’s nuclear power sector, contributing to the country’s long-term energy security and supporting the national net-zero target by 2070. He has been instrumental in reviving the joint venture between NTPC and Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited, advancing the development of Indian Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) in collaboration with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, and pursuing overseas uranium resource opportunities with Uranium Corporation of India Limited to strengthen fuel security.
