Chief Executive Officer, TP Power Plus Limited

Sandeep Dhamija is the Chief Executive Officer of TP Power Plus Ltd. (TPPPL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, responsible for implementing and operating large-scale smart metering infrastructure in the state of Chhattisgarh. Under his leadership, TPPPL has emerged as one of the best-performing AMISP organizations in India, successfully deploying over 1.35 million smart meters within two years, while unleashing potential of technology innovations in areas of AI/ML, automation and analytics to drive business performance. With over two decades of experience in power distribution and utility transformation, Sandeep has played a pivotal role in leveraging technology, digital platforms, and business process transformation to modernize electricity utilities. His expertise spans smart metering, IT-OT integration, revenue management systems, enterprise digitization, and large-scale utility transformation programs across multiple Indian utilities and international consulting engagements. Prior to his current role, he led global consulting and Business Development initiatives at Tata Power, overseeing smart grid implementations, IT/OT transformation, and acquisition of Odisha distribution utilities. Sandeep is an Electrical Engineer with an MBA in Power Management and a frequent speaker at international industry forums on smart metering, digital utilities, and power sector transformation.
