Devender Sharma, Senior Vice President and Head of Network Operations at BSES Rajdhani Power Limited, brings more than 30 years of rich experience in the power sector. Over the course of his career, he has worked across the full value chain of utility operations, including design and engineering, regulatory affairs, network planning, project execution, and captive generation. This breadth allows him to connect technical, commercial, and regulatory perspectives while taking decisions. He has led large‑scale network strengthening and modernization programmes, ensuring reliable supply in a complex urban distribution environment. His background in design and engineering gives him a deep understanding of grid behaviour and asset performance, while his exposure to regulatory affairs enables him to align operational strategies with evolving policy and tariff frameworks. In network planning and project execution, he has overseen multi‑year capital investment plans, greenfield and brownfield projects, and the integration of new technologies into existing networks. Experience in captive generation further sharpens his systems view, spanning both supply‑ and demand‑side constraints. Across these roles, he has consistently focused on reliability, safety, and efficiency, mentoring teams and building process‑driven operations. Taken together, his cross‑functional expertise makes him a trusted leader for driving network resilience, operational excellence, and future‑ready distribution reforms.
