Kamalpreet Wadhawan is a senior professional in India’s power sector and currently serves as General Manager (earlier Deputy General Manager) at Power Finance Corporation (PFC), a Government of India financial institution that funds power sector projects. Kamalpreet Wadhawan is a power sector professional associated with Power Finance Corporation (PFC), one of India’s leading financial institutions supporting the development of the electricity sector. He joined PFC in 2008 after completing his engineering and MBA from Delhi University and has since been involved in several Government of India power sector initiatives. At PFC, he has worked extensively on distribution sector reforms and flagship programmes such as the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), aimed at improving the operational and financial sustainability of power distribution utilities across India. He has also contributed to the implementation of earlier schemes like RAPDRP and IPDS, which focused on strengthening urban power distribution infrastructure and enhancing efficiency in utilities. With significant experience in power sector financing and reform initiatives, he continues to play a key role in supporting India’s electricity distribution transformation and modernization.
