With an extensive and impressive experience in Power System Operation, Planning Commercial, Restoration, Settlement, and the entire system of Power Pooling and governance, Mr. Sushil Kumar Soonee is a Founder Chief Executive Officer and former advisor of the Power System Operation Corporation Ltd. Mr. Soonee also has over four decades of experience in Power System Operations of several Regional Grids of India and has worked considerably for years towards the integration of these grids. With his extensive experience, he joins New Age Markets in Electricity Private Limited’s Strategic Advisory Board. Mr. Soonee’s unmatched leadership skills helped him develop the National Grid and more recently, the SAARC Grid. His other interests lay in the amalgamation of Electricity Markets, Open Access and Regulatory Affairs besides expertise in Load Dispatch Technology integration of Renewable Energy including REC Mechanism, Transmission Pricing and development of Ancillary Services. Mr. Soonee is a Life Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India), a Fellow of IEEE, Distinguished Alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, Distinguished member CIGRE, Fellow of INAE and Foreign Member at the NAE, USA. He has represented India on the CIGRE Study Committee C2 on Power System Operation and the CIGRE Study Committee C5 on Electricity Markets and energy Regulation
