Chief Executive Officer Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited

Mr. Gajanan S. Kale is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited, a Joint Venture between Tata Power and the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, supplying electricity to over 1.9 million people in North & North-West Delhi. This is Mr. Kale’s second stint with Tata-Power-DDL. Mr. Kale is a seasoned professional with over 32 years of experience in the power and energy sector. He has a wealth of expertise in areas such as enhancing customer experience, resource planning and management, operational excellence, big project management, financial management, and advocacy with various stakeholders, including regulators, government bodies, chambers of commerce, and employee unions/associations. Prior to Tata Power-DDL, Mr. Kale was the Chief Executive Officer of Tata Power Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL) and has also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Tata Power Ajmer Distribution Ltd (TPADL). Mr Kale’s strategic planning and management took TPWODL to great heights with continuous A+ ranking in “11th and 12th Integrated Rating of Discoms” by the Ministry of Power. These achievements are a testament to his exceptional leadership skills and his ability to drive results. Mr. Kale was also recognized as the “Best CEO of the Year with HR Orientation” and received the “Best CEO of the Year” award in FY 23-24. Mr. Kale has had an impressive professional journey that showcases his dedication and expertise. He began his career at BHEL in Bhopal and has since held positions at the Central Railway Nagpur Division among others. He has also been associated with Tata Power Mumbai Distribution and Tata Power-DDL in the past. He pursued an MBA in Finance and also holds an M. Tech in Integrated Power Systems from the National Institute of Technology, Nagpur. He graduated with a B.E. in Electrical Power Systems from Amravati University. He is also an alumnus of the prestigious IIM Ahmedabad.
