Subhadip Raychaudhuri is a seasoned utility professional with over 24 years of experience in the power sector, specializing in AMI project planning, deployment, and delivery (RF, NBioT, 4G), metering, CAPEX/OPEX planning, revenue cycle management, grid planning, SCADA implementation, and power system protection. Currently serving as Head of Engineering, Energy Audit, GIS & Smart Metering Applications at Tata Power-DDL, he has led large-scale smart metering projects, revenue cycle management, quality assurance, and infrastructure protection. His leadership extends to metering operations, where he has managed a workforce of 1,000+ professionals, ensuring operational efficiency, customer onboarding, and revenue protection. Previously, at CESC Limited, Kolkata, he worked as a Testing Engineer, handling statutory and routine equipment testing, metering data analysis, SCADA field operations, and defect resolution. A recognized expert, Subhadip has authored 50+ technical papers and participated in national and international forums across Bangladesh, Germany, UAE, UK, and Brazil. He actively contributes to policy-making as a member of BIS’s ET-13 and CEA’s Working Group on Universal AMI and NIC. Subhadip holds an MBA in Finance (FMS, Delhi), a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Calcutta University), and a B.Sc in Physics (RKM Vidyamandir, Belur Math). He has also completed an Advanced Leadership Development Program at IIM Indore.
