PhD. Director of Applications Engineering, Low Power Connectivity Solutions Texas Instruments Inc. Rizwan Murji is the Director of Applications Engineering with the Lower Power Connectivity group at Texas Instruments. He supports both the 2.4GHz and Sub-1GHz businesses, including hardware and software domains, helping customers go-to-market with their end products. He has been with TI for more than 11 years and has an extensive background in Worldwide Regulatory Certification, compliance testing, and is a recognized expert in RF. He graduated with a Bachelor's of Applied Sciences from Simon Fraser University and has a Master’s and PhD in Electrical Engineering from McMaster University. His expertise includes key considerations in the planning, design, and rollout of large AMI systems, important lessons from the rollout of large AMI projects in the USA, France, and Italy, challenges in regular upgrades, network expansions, and maintaining high SLAs for 10+ years, as well as challenges with customer acceptance of smart meters.
