Monali Zeya is a senior climate and clean energy professional with over 27 years of experience across policy and programs. Prior to joining CIFF, she spent 16 years with USAID/India, where she led several multi-million-dollar regional and bilateral clean energy initiatives. Her work spanned renewable energy deployment, grid modernization, regulatory reforms, state-level partnerships, and cross-border electricity trade across South Asia. Prior to USAID, Monali headed the industry and Environment team at the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), where she led the Green Rating Project and co-authored the State of India’s Environment report on mining. Monali holds a postgraduate degree in Environmental Management from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, Kolkata.
