Poonam Barua is a distinguished Global business leader, Economist, Independent Board Director, and Founder Chairman of the Forum for Women in Leadership – WILL Forum India. She has been a trailblazer in promoting gender equity and balanced boards for good governance, and author of several research reports including the pioneering Book “Leadership by Proxy.” She has been leading business best practices as Regional Director India at The Conference Board New York, and has been awarded the prestigious Salzburg Global Fellowship, Ford Fellowship at SAIS- Johns Hopkins University, and Visting Fellowship at Wharton. Ms. Barua has served on the Governing Board of Vedica Scholars Program and IILM University, and is a key advocate of the ESG mandate across corporates and communities.
