Addl Commissioner – Machinery, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare
V. N. Kale serves as Additional Commissioner (Machinery) in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. In this role, he is responsible for advancing agricultural mechanization policies, promoting modern farm machinery adoption, and strengthening testing, training, and certification systems for agricultural equipment across the country. With extensive experience in agricultural engineering and mechanization programs, he contributes to the development and implementation of national initiatives that improve farm productivity, reduce labor intensity, and enhance technology access for farmers. His work involves coordination with research institutions, state governments, and industry stakeholders to promote sustainable mechanization solutions, including emerging technologies such as precision agriculture tools, drones, and automated farm equipment.
