Stephan Hesselmann is Economic Minister Counsellor at the German Embassy in New Delhi. Growing up in Germany, Spain and USA, he earned a B.S. degree in Business Adminstration from George Mason University, Virginia, USA, a Master´s as well as a PhD degree in Economics, both from the University of Bonn, Germany, as well as a CPA certificate in Washington, D.C. . Mr Hesselmann is a long serving official from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, heading divisions in the Industry Department, and served as senior adviser in the Economics and Energy Committee as well as in the Finance Committee in the German National Parliament. In 1998 and 1999, he worked on energy issues of the IEA in Paris.
