Dr. Praveen Cheekatamarla is a senior research scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, USA, focusing on developing energy efficient building technologies. He has over 16 years of industrial experience in energy efficient product development and served as a technical leader and principal engineer. He was the Director of Research and Product Development at Atrex Energy and was the principal developer of the fuel cell technologies enabling Atrex Energy to commercially deploy more than 800 fuel cell remote power generators in North America. His primary areas of expertise include hydrogen technologies, fuel processing, fuel cells, catalysis, fuels, combustion, thermo-chemical processes, cogeneration technologies, energy modeling, systems analysis, systems integration, and reaction engineering. Dr. Cheekatamarla holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alabama. He has more than 60 publications and presentations, and two patents to his name. He is an active peer reviewer, editorial board member, guest editor for technical Journals, and technical advisor for energy startups.
