Philippe Lienhart has a wide experience of over 39 years in the fields of electrical power System, Transmission and Markets as well as manager and expert. He is Engineer graduate of French Ecole Centrale and has a Master of Management. He worked 10 years in EDF Transmission Division for implementing Transmission O&M methods and equipment and was also project manager in construction of grid infrastructure. He worked 10 years in EDF System Division realizing studies (Master Plans and infrastructure investment decisions) and managing real-time System Operation in Load Dispatch Center. Since 1999 following the opening of the Electricity Market in Europe, he is responsible in EDF of technical and strategic management, among others: R&D and innovation management, adaptation of contractual relationship between the TSO’s and EDF business development. International Consultant and Owner Engineer for many Clients (TSOs, Utilities, IPP, financial institutions, etc.) all over the world as in all aspects of Grid engineering: for Transmission infrastructures, System studies and Load dispatch centres including the integration of renewable power, interconnection studies, Network Codes and Regulation adaptation to market development. Recently in Asia, he was the Team Leader of North East Asia Power System Interconnection (NAPSI) and is involved in Greater Mekong Subregion Interconnection. Philippe Lienhart is also Fellow Expert for EDF Group, the CIGRE coordinator for EDF Group and Member of Technical Committee of VGB PowerTech and Senior Member of SEE.
