Graduate of Delhi's prestigious SRCC, Mr. Amal Sinha is a Chartered and Cost Accountant with more than 35 years of rich experience under his belt. His deep understanding transcends manufacturing and service sectors with expertise in areas like Power Distribution, Corporate Finance, Strategy Planning, Budgetary and Financial Control, Audits (of various kinds), Regulatory Affairs and Indian Accounting Standards. After working with Escorts Ltd for 15 years (and L&T Group before that), Mr. Sinha joined BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) - a joint venture between Reliance Infrastructure Limited and the Delhi Government, in 2006 as the head of the company’s business process re-engineering group. Soon, he was promoted as CFO overseeing areas of finance and accounts, Legal and Regulatory Affairs. Subsequently, he was elevated as Director Finance. In 2016, he became the CEO of BRPL. He, supported by a dedicated workforce of around 10000, spearheaded the business and achieved financial turnaround. Under his leadership, BRPL has been able to supply 24x7 reliable & quality electricity to its consumers in South and West Delhi. In 2021, Mr Sinha has been given the responsibility of both discoms i.e. BSES Rajdhani and BSES Yamuna as the Executive Director & Group CEO of the BSES Delhi Power Distribution Business which manages a combined consumer base in excess 4.5 million and the largest private sector power distribution business in India at a single geographical location.
