Dr. Mani Vadari (Mani) delivers strategic services to companies seeking deep subject matter expertise in setting business and technical direction to develop the next-gen electric energy system. A well-recognized electric industry leader and visionary, Mani has delivered business and technical solutions for Transmission, Distribution, and Generation companies, wholesale markets, and Smart Grid vendors. Mani currently serves as a Board advisor of WhyGrene and a strategic advisor of Optio3 (www.optio3.com). He is also a sought-after industry speaker and a member of several industry boards such as T&D World Executive Insights Board, and Microgrid Systems Lab. Mani is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), and active in continuing board education with NACD's Northwest Chapter. Lastly, Mani is also a founder and board member of Seattle’s Hindu Temple, and two non-profit companies – Girls Rock in Science & Math (https://girlsrockscimath.com), and SPARK (https://sparksip.org). Mani also serves as President of Modern Grid Solutions and leads a team of experts who deliver complex and innovative technology, business, regulatory, and finance solutions to electric utilities, suppliers, regulators, corporate boards, and policymakers worldwide. An Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington, Mani has published two books, "Smart Grid Redefined: Transformation of the Electric Utility" and "Electric System Operations: Evolving to the Modern Grid," in addition to numerous industry papers and articles. Mani brings a proven track record of leading business transformation initiatives which have delivered tens of millions of dollars of value to clients. In addition, Mani has also created several businesses, products, and practice areas from the ground up, at Battelle, Accenture, and ESCA.
