Avinash Kumar serves as the Assistant Vice President at BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL). With over 25 years of extensive experience in the Indian power sector, he is a seasoned leader in grid modernization and utility distribution strategies. His career, which began at Reliance Infrastructure Limited, spans the full lifecycle of power infrastructure---from commissioning and operating generation stations to spearheading data-driven efficiency programs that transform urban power distribution. At the forefront of utility innovation, Mr. Kumar has led the execution of landmark technological projects, most notably India's first utility-scale, standalone 20 MW/40 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). His work focuses on integrating cutting-edge analytics with consumer-centric solutions, including behavioral energy efficiency and automated demand response for residential and commercial sectors.
