A. BALAN

Member (Planning), Central Electricity Authority (CEA)

A. Balan has been serving as Member (Planning) at the Central Electricity Authority since August 2021 and brings over 31 years of experience in the power sector. An Electrical & Electronics Engineering graduate from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, he joined CEA in 1990 and worked extensively at the Power Systems Training Institute in Bengaluru, where he contributed to capacity-building programs for power sector engineers, training in SCADA/EMS, load dispatch, communication systems, and computer applications. He has also developed several computer-based applications, delivered technical training on programming and power system tools, and published a paper on web-enabled load flow systems.
