Vikas Gaba is a Partner at KPMG in India and is a power sector specialist with 20+ years of experience. He has worked extensively on advising utilities, policy makers and regulators in the areas of utility modernization, digital transformation, large program management, operational and financial performance improvement, improving grid resilience, adoption of modern technologies and institutional strengthening. He has led development of innovative tools for power utilities and other stakeholders for utility performance monitoring, investment analysis, regulatory information systems, market surveillance, power procurement optimization and capacity expansion planning. He has advised leading power sector utilities across geographies such as India, SARCC nations, SAPP nations, etc.; and has led large strategy mandates funded by multilateral / bilateral financing institutions such as USAID, ADB, World Bank, etc. In the past, he has been associated with leading organizations such as AF Mercados EMI and The Energy and Resources Institute(TERI).
