Convener of Development Plan, ISO/IEC System Committee Smart Energy

Dr. Umejima is the convener of development plan in Systems Committee Smart Energy, International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). As the member of the national smart meter conference and the chairman of cyber security in Energy Resource Aggregation Business (ERAB) Promotion Conference in Japanese government, Dr. Umejima is contributing to develop smart grid architecture in Japan that over 100 million power meters and distributed energy resources (DERs) speak the common and same language defined by ISO/IEC14543-4-3. Dr. Umejima has addressed system research and entrepreneurial education in Keio University for academic contribution. To his research deliverable, IPv6 Forum awarded him the IPv6 world leader in 2015.
