Shri B A Sawale assumed charge of Director General, Central Power Research Institute in May 2023. He has been with CPRI for last 33 Years. He is Chairman on Board of Directors of National High Power Testing Laboratory Bina. He is BE Electronics, MTech Digital Communications, and MBA General Management. He is Senior Member of IEEE. Chairman of ETD13 sectional committee under BIS. He is member /chairman on various National committees on RESEARCH in capacity of DG CPRI. He is also member on GC of several organizations. He is member of State Advisory committee of MPERC. He is member of IEC TC 13 Technical committee & Working Group 11, 14 and 15. He is also member of various maintenance group under IEC TC13. He has been recently awarded by IEC with IEC1906 Award for year 2023 for his significant expert contribution in IEC standards. He led Indian experts' delegation to IEC plenary and working group meetings several times.
