G V Srinivas is a career diplomat, of 1993 batch of the Indian Foreign Service. Before his current assignment as Additional Secretary of Latin America and the Caribbean Division, he handled various desks including- Cyber Diplomacy, Eurasia, Central Europe, Diplomatic Training and Europe West. He has been Consul General in Sao Paulo and has served in Indian Embassies in Islamabad, Budapest, Tokyo, Havana, Caracas, Mexico City and Senegal
