Piyush Sharma
Energy Advisor, GIZ

Piyush Sharma is an energy professional with over 15 years of experience in designing, implementation and evaluation of programmes and policies related to energy efficiency. He is currently working with GIZ as an Energy Advisor for the energy efficiency projects on Industry, Cooling and Digi-twin. He has been working with GIZ since more than 10 years. His work in GIZ included efficiency improvement programme for around 100 thermal power generating units with Central Electricity Authority (CEA), and the implementation of the Perform, Achieve and Trade (PAT) scheme for larger industries with Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE). His prior experience includes design engineering, commissioning, operation, and efficiency of large capacity Thermal Power Plants in the private sector.
