Ambassador to India, previously to Egypt, the UAE, the KSA, Kuwait and Bahrain. Immediately before that, Ambassador to Libya & Tunisia (2011-2014) and Special Representative as for the Syrian Crisis (2012-2014). Serial Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and Yemen (2006-2011), as well as diplomatic postings in Brussels. Cairo, Tokyo and Damascus. Working for the EU Council of Ministers 2003-2006. Before joining the foreign service, active in the private business sector. As always, with the Middle East and North Africa; the people, their culture, prosperity and future in focus. Co-initiator of a new art book, published in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the beginning of June 2014: Desert, Design and Diplomacy DDD features the Diplomatic Quarter of Riyadh, founded 25 years ago. It is now home to over 50 embassies, numerous schools, parks and award- winning public spaces and serves as a showcase for some of the world’s greatest architects. Through the lenses of Saudi photographers, DDD will introduce the reader to a collection of world-class architecture while promoting young, creative photo artists, women and men.
